Never knowing his father he was raised by his grandparents, who helped him become the person he is today. At an early age he realized his talent was music. I love creating and performing, says Lil-C. After beginning his career in 1996 Lil-C has managed to create 130 songs and counting. Lil-C credits working with the late rapper Soulja Slim who thought him a lot about the business. He worked as a promoter for the Cut-throat label for 11 months. After the untimely death Soulja Slim, Lil-C has been aggressively pursuing his career. He says the death of Soulja Slim has made him stronger and wiser. The young native of Reserve, La. Says he will let nothing stand in the way of his dreams. He also states that he thanks god everyday for life after nearly losing his leg to a gunshot wound. Lil-C says, I dont want to come in the game just for the money but for the love of music. He also states that even though a lot of rappers dont want to be considered role models thats something he would accept with open arms. Lil-C says that even though he loves a lot of rappers music, three are his biggest influences are: 1st he says he loves Snoop Dogg for the way he came in the game as a new comer and took over. 2nd theres 2pac because despite all the trouble he had he still managed to be the best. 3rd Scarface who went from selling tapes from his trunk to becoming president of Def Jam South. He has also learned from shopping demos around, that the music business is a business. So from that comes a better understanding of what it takes.Lil-C says Hes full of focus and will make sure hes heard.
