About Me

For the last few years since graduating from college I've been kind of wandering around. In that time I discovered the delights of brewing my own beer & have pursued making a career of it for now. I'm a huge outdoors lover. Texas is my home & heart, but I sure wish it had more variable terrain for a greater variety of camping modes. . .

My Interests

camping, canoeing, sailing, wine tasting, beer home-brewing, dogs, food and cooking, reading history and fantasy, Kappa Sigma, watching political satire, good Movies with plots, New Zealand, Tequila, sleep, massages, wrestling, barbequing, laughing at life in the bible belt, watching a good play, learning the past, waking up with a beautiful girl, sometimes acting the pompous ass, and my badass little bro.

I'd like to meet:

Neil Gaiman, Terence McKenna, Sylvia Kristel, Holly Hunter, you nice truthful ladies that are out there, and/or - anybody who is liberal minded, enjoys a few drinks and bullshit, loves the outdoors, has a twisted sense of humor, or is open to meeting me for whatever reason they may have or not have.

Music:

The Grateful Dead and the Jam genre they inspired, jazz, intelligent and politically oriented hip-hop, ambiant music like air, old Texas country, folk, bluegrass, and all sorts of reggae. You can get a vague idea of my music tastes from my friends list.

Movies:

Too many to mention - I loved American Psycho, Cinema Paradiso, Kung Fu Hustle, I heart Huckabees, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Blazing Saddles, Dr. Strangelove, Short Cuts, The Never Ending Story, Animal House, Boondock Saints, Ice Age, Jesus's Son, Lord of War, and Running with Scissors.

Television:

The Wire, Big Love, Californication, and South Park.

Books:

The Trial, Guns of the South, Stranger in a Strange Land, American Gods, Neverwhere, Another Bullshit Night in Suck City, Heart of Darkness, The Fall, The Last Babylon, Into The Wild, Will You Please Be Quiet Please, Things Fall Apart, Catch 22.

Heroes:

Anybody who has the courage to stand up and speak out against the tyranny of our society's greater hegemonic order.
