I'm a halfbreed Ojibway. Singer/songwriter, tryin' to make a name for m'self following the release of my two little albums, China Syndrome Project (2004) and The Manhattan Project (2006). I belong to the Sheguiandah First Nation on Manitoulin Island, if I'm lost, mail me there. I grew up in St. Thomas, the Railway Capital of Canada. For the past several years I've been livin' in Toronto (reppin' Parkdale!)
Featuring acoustic guitar accompanied by organ, harmonica, percussion, piano, banjo and even accordion, The Manhattan Project combines folk storytelling, crafty composition and unique instrumentation in a creamy boquet of sensory bliss.
OF NOTE:
-featured on Dig Your Roots Aboriginal Artists CD (spring 2006).
Opened for Digging Roots and Pappy John's Band. For real!
- Award winner, 2004 Beartraxx.com Aboriginal Talent Search (Pop/Rock category)
- Worked with award-winning engineer Shane Ward at Platinum|Gold Studios in Winnipeg, MB.
I am also one half of the Davey Parker Radio Sound, a Toronto-based rock band with a sixties feel. Check them out at http://www.myspace.com/daveyparkermusic
