About Me

I have some songs. They come from a period of songwriting that stretches back to 1994 when Grunge had stamped its mark on the consciousness of teenagers everywhere, in particular, those in a small town called Gisborne on the east coast of the North Island of New Zealand. This is where my music derives its essence from, but if you listen closely, you can hear other influences, such as Pink Floyd, the odd time signatures of Tool and Shellac, and there's even some Loreena McKennitt in there somewhere. If a songwriter ever had a fault it was that they couldn't be genre specific. My music lies somewhere along the line of Progressive-acoustic-folk rock.I also compose music for Piano and various orchestral instruments, but still prefer the massive sounds of a full orchestra.
