Anna Snook

HI. You guys want some COOKIES??

About Me

Anna Snook, 20, has been playing music since she was seven years old. She was exposed to various branches of music as a wee bairn, under the influence of her father, who plays a mean banjo and a nice dobro, and her mother, who is tone-deaf (kidding, mother...) Such branches included bluegrass, celtic, 70's pop, country (old country, mind you) and random acoustic adventure twigs with groups such as Strength in Numbers and Skip, Hop and Wobble.
Listing Chris Thile, Tim O’Brien, Shakira, experiences in Ecuador, Darol Anger, the Northwest bluegrass community, an extreme aversion to bad grammar, Patrick Gunning, Mike Marshall, politics, and depression as her most recent main influences in her style of playing and songwriting, she claims her music to be of rather an eclectic mix...
Anna Snook currently resides in the well-respected niche of the "acoustic indie latina choro jazz-grass" genre, of which she is the only species known to the Northwest area, given that she has just made this genre up on the spot. If anyone else happens to come across another similar species, please let us know.
As for everyday wear, Anna attends Western Oregon University; studying [journalism] and political science and stuff, and playing music for as much free coffee as she can get. Her favorite color is green. Just, green in general, not referring to coffee. And she really isn't crazy; just bored at 1am, writing bios.
Anna has recorded with:
Snooksband
Killing Pat
Joe Wrabek
Grande Rondolin
Vou Vivendo
The Western Oregon University Brazilian Combo
