When Gina was around two years old, she started singing for her family in her grandmother's closet with the door shut because she was excrutiatingly shy. Ha, not anymore!
Gina started pursuing her career in 2000.
She was eleven years old, which is when she started recording the songs on this page. These songs have been re-done countless times to get them just right. The final cuts you're hearing were done when Gina was fourteen. Yeah, a little old. She's grown a lot since then.
Gina was once in a "girl group" in 2001.
When she hit seventh grade, her chorus teacher recruited her and two eighth graders to assemble a "local teen pop sensation" they called A.G.E. Whoo! A.G.E performed at restaurants, fundraisers, barbershops, weddings, dogshows. Yes, the furry ones loved them but after a year together, they broke up. Gina left the group to pursue a solo career. Since then Gina has continued writing, recording in such rooms as her bathroom and kitchen, doing talent shows, concerts, charity events and other such musical things. She just recently won a year's tuition scholarship in an "American Idol esque" singing competition at her community college and another quarter tuition in a seperate musical competition.
In September 2005, Gina auditioned for American Idol.
Gina and her dad flew all the way to Chicago. They spent approximately twenty hours of their lives just standing in line but since you haven't seen her on your telley, you could probably guess she didn't make it. But of course Gina had fun, especially with Chicago style pizza. Mmm!
April 2006, Gina flew to New York to perform at Carnegie Hall.
Her and her chorus got to perform "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" on "The Today Show". They spent five amazing days doing everything but sleeping. It was the most fantastic trip of Gina's life and made her want to see the world even more than before.
