KRAFFT is an esoteric society, in that certain aspects of its internal work are not generally disclosed to the public. Members are joined together by shared ideals of both a moral and metaphysical nature and, in most of its branches, by a constitutional declaration of belief in Supreme Sound. KRAFFT states that it is less a secret society and more of a society with secrets. For this and other reasons, KRAFFT regard the traditional concern over secrecy as a demonstration of their ability to keep a promise and as a surrogate for the organization's concern over the privacy of their own affairs. The private aspects of KRAFFT deal with elements of ritual and the modes of recognition amongst members within the ritual.
KRAFFT is in possession of one supreme secret. The whole of its system is directed towards communicating to its members, by progressively plain hints, this all-important instruction. Of the first set of initiations, "the main objects of the instruction are two. It is firstly necessary to explain sound and the relations of human life therewith. Secondly, to instruct every man and woman how best to adapt to the cosmos and to develop their faculties to the utmost advantage.
KRAFFT offers a rational basis for universal sound. It puts forward a scientific statement which is a summary of all that is at present known about sound by means of a simple, yet sublime symbolism, artistically arranged. It also enables each man to discover for himself his personal destiny, indicates the moral and intellectual qualities which he requires in order to fulfil it freely, and finally puts in his hands an unimaginably powerful weapon which he may use to develop in himself every faculty which he may need in his work.
