Infecta: Too tired to cry, Too alive to die...

Since he started in 2002, as a young up and coming in the slums of South East London Infecta has been highly anticipated for being known as unique. After releasing his third mixtape ‘Never Say Never Vol.3’ in 2007, Infecta has firmly established a goal for to himself to be one of the elite artists in the UK Urban scene. Infecta is also part of a collective known as O.S.A (One Step Ahead | Original Street Attitude) which comprises of himself, Prospect and Levelle which has helped build his slowly growing fan base.

His had a few disagreements in the past which was resolved in clashes with other MC’s and in all circumstances he managed to overcome lesser experienced artist and persevere. Being known to a few Radio stations including: BBC 1Xtra, AXE FM, Reprezent FM & Play Vybz he is working on a new EP which is a taster of what he has to bring to the table with he’s Debut CD ‘Now Or Never’. In the past 2 years Infecta has performed at a variety of events all around in London. His impressive work rate has failed to go unnoticed and he now plans to soon collaborate with a lot of other artist which include: Twissman, Dot Rotten, Ac & Terra, Teezy, Solo and many more.

Infecta has also had a great deal of press recently. After making appearances on a few music videos, like: Solo – Feeling High or Hoodtwinz – Download which are both being shown on Channel U and Download hitting No.1 Spot for 2weeks, he also participated in the video of O.T.B – Woolyhood which was a smash hit in he’s local area and still being played on Youtube till this day. Infecta managed to get he’s first mainstream appearance on the BBC Morning Show and worked alongside Award winning poet Michael Groce. Most press has notably been from a major project in his local community that he was apart of. Street Genius which was made by SOWF (some other way forward) and which he got invited to whilst working on another project with BBC 21cc. The Times Newspaper had made Infecta out to be an “influential, inspirational and motivational young leader” and put as the Front page magazine spread on South Bank News.

Now Infecta is thinking with a much more open mind and has team up with business partners to put out his very own T-Shirt clothing similar to ‘Boy Better Know’ or ‘Star In The Hood’. After speaking with the marketing campaigns and people such as Anneka Augustus Aa Clothing Line, Ferug Forreduci Label or Young Kay Guess Who (The Question Mark Head Wear). This artist will soon be supplying the T-Shirts as the design and copyright label has already been produced ‘Dats Who It Is™’.

So now you know, the name of this artist you are currently viewing is Infecta. The name originates from being in school at Year. 8 when his friends agreed the name is a suitable description for he’s talent because he is “lyrically sick and influences others to spit”. He’s addictive catchphrase is “Dats Who It Is” due to the fact he is always being asked after so when spotted that’s what they say.
