About Me

{} MyGen Profile GeneratorEstablished in 2001, Ceòl Beò (Living Music) is a charity, the aim of which is, To advance the education of the Highland community in particular and the wider community in general in all aspects of music in the Highlands of Scotland: in particular, but not exclusively, traditional music and its associated art forms and cultural context.

Influences: It all started with the demise of Balnain House, The Home of Highland Music, at the end of 2000. Balnain House, in Inverness, had begun the process of drawing the various strands of Highland music together sharing knowledge, experience, teaching, learning and playing together. Ceòl Beò came about to continue that process and to provide a forum for the various strands of music and associated art forms.
