Here are two stereotypes: Nashville makes country music, and, new rock bands follow the trends set before them... Well, Buckledown isn't country and they definitely don't follow trends.Perhaps Nashville’s most innovative rock sensation, Buckledown proves that the sum of a band's line-up can cause a chain-reaction that unexpectedly explodes into something that is pure magic!Audiences are drawn in and intrigued by Buckledown's unique blend of instruments and electrifying stage performances. Buckledown is comprised of a seasoned rock vocalist, a symphonic violinist, two Grammy nominees from Russia and a powerhouse drummer. To hear is to believe. Music fans have never experienced anything quite like this before!Singer/guitarist Daniel Gray "Gray" is a self taught musician. As the former front man of the Orlando based rock band Olive Carpet, Gray has seen his share of national success spanning from a national college tour to headlining notable venues like The Hard Rock Cafe and The House of Blues. Professionally, Gray has felt the sting of tragedy as well. Despite an impressive buzz, Apollo Records/Joan De Arc productions dropped his band just after being signed and recording their first and only album: all of this occurring under the shadow of 9/11. In February 2004, armed with a new vision and an endless spirit, Gray moved to Nashville to become a founding member of one of the most unique projects the rock world has ever seen. Also a founding member, violinist Andy Z, has been trained at some of the most prestigious conservatories of the classical world. When he's not wearing his tux and tie and conducting orchestras, he rocks a five string, amped up "this one goes to 11" violin, proving that rules were made to be broken! His resume includes, performing and soloing with some of the most respected symphony orchestra's as well as numerous stints in the critically acclaimed theatrical production "Always, Patsy Cline." On stage, Andy jammed his way into a membership of the original Muzik Mafia family, which has produced several platinum selling acts (Gretchen Wilson, Big and Rich). On the rock side of things, he toured with Robert Plant and Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin on their “No Quarter” tour.Dobro and lap steel player Sasha Ostrovsky is certainly no stranger to entertaining crowds of thousands. He is one of the most in-demand session and road musicians in Nashville. A native of Obninsk, Russia, classical and jazz-trained Sasha has seen quite a bit of national success with his former band Bering Strait, including a Grammy nomination. As a touring musician, he’s shared the stage and studio with artists including Keith Urban, Pat Green, Sugarland, and performed on TV programs like ACM Awards and Late Show with David Letterman.Another Russian “import”, bass player Sergey “Spooky” Olkhovsky is also a former member of Bering Strait with numerous TV performances and arena shows under his belt. With a hard rock background, Sergey has toured the United Stated and Russia, playing in several national and international bands as well.Rounding out the ensemble is drummer Aaron Gottlieb, an alumni of the band Idle Society. Aaron toured the country extensively while promoting two CDs. Studying drums and percussion under several famed musicians who have played with everyone from Michael Jackson to Mariah Carey, Aaron has ample experience to be the thunderous backbone of the band.Individually, the band reads like a Who’s Who of a musical All Star band. Together they are changing the way people perceive Nashville music and its rock scene. With a ripping guitar sound , an amped up violin and a heavy grinding lap steel, Buckledown keeps its modern rock commercial style of today with a sound of tomorrow.Buckledown EPK
