Beleza! (Portuguese for beauty) was a young and fresh band that played mainly brazilian music.
The band was formed in spring 2006 by Rene Lindeboom, Sander van Venetie and Jaap Lameijer. Sax player Iddo Havinga and singer Maartje van Denderen made Beleza! complete.
Beleza! played mainly brazilian standards (Getz, Jobim, Gilberto), which they played on their own groovy/jazzy way. Furthermore Beleza! played some funky jazz, fusion and soul tunes (George Duke, Jamiroquai). Their shows were smooth, tight and danceable.
Unfortanetly Beleza! decided to split up after playing for about a year. At 6th September 2007 they played their last gig in their hometown Zoetermeer at "de Boerderij".Agua de BeberBrazillian love affair
