The girl continued to listen to her heart as they crossed the desert. She came to understand its dodges and tricks, and to accept it as it was. She lost her fear, and forgot about the need to go back to the oasis, because, one afternoon, her heart told her that it was happy. "Even though I complain sometimes," it said, "it's because I'm the heart of a person, and people's hearts are that way. People are afraid to pursue their most important dreams, because they feel that they don't deserve them, or that they'll be unable to achieve them. We, their hearts, become fearful just thinking of loved ones who go far away, or of moments that could have been good but were'nt, or of treasures that might have been found but forever hidden in the sands. Because, when these things happen, we suffer terribly."And that girl was me...I am just like everyone else who listen to their hearts: a person who is enchanted by the mystery of life. Who is open to miracles, who experiences joy and enthusiasm for what they do. But there are sufferings in life; and there are defeats. No one can avoid them. But its better to lose some of the battles in the strungle for your dreams than to be defeated without ever even knowing what you're fighting for... : )
