I was born as Rashard Leverett, in Colombia Presbyterian Hospital in Washington Heights, New York on December 6th 1985. I’am now 21 years old with an interesting life. Rap is the genre I enjoy listening to and writing to. My mother Deborah King delivered me at 9:37 pm and my father Randy Leverett, gave me the name Boom-Boom no more than 2 years after my birth. When I was 6 years old my father vanished from my life due to difficulties dealing with my mother. I was raised in the Bronx, on Mosholu Parkway for 16 years. It was a 41 story building titled Tracey Towers and carried a strong reputation for the Bronx. I attended PS. MS. 95 from K-8th grade and graduated in 1999. When I was in 4th grade, my cousin Jamaal Daffin wrote my first rhyme, well actually my first album. I was only 9 years old and went by the name “Little Ruff-Neckâ€. We recorded the songs onto a cassette, and spoke into the speakers of his radio. My cousin was my influence when I was young because I never thought about rapping until he wrote that first rhyme for me in 1995. 1995 was a big year for me because I launched my acting career. While attending PS. 95. I starred in a play titled “The legend Of Sleepy Hallowâ€. I cast as Icabob Crane and was featured in a Bronx newspaper titled “The Riverdale Pressâ€. Rhyming and acting became my hobbies in 1998 and so was staying in trouble. When I was 12 in the 8th grade I started writing my own rhymes and went on to be one of the best rappers in Tracey Towers. One of my best friends Joseph Flucas also rhymed and we later formed a group called “Twice as Niceâ€. I was known as having a cocky and un ordinary flow, while Joseph had an educated flow. We caused a lot of attention and went on to battle several people just to make a name for our self. In Tracey Towers I grew up being a follower behind some of my peers. At 13 I created a strong impact on my peers and later became a leader. My friends looked up to me when it came to decision making. When I turned 14 I was a bad influence and I was not making the right choices. At 14 one of my friends said to me “Boomshard ah you like how I put that togetherâ€. I never really paid any attention to it until later in my life. When I first entered High School in 1999 I was a truant, and I skipped class everyday. I went to Dewitt Clinton High School which was right across the street from my building. I didn’t know the importance of school, so it was almost impossible for me to understand why go. After the first year of High School was finished it was the year 2000 and I noticed I didn’t accomplish anything that year. My mother was highly upset because she didn’t know any techniques on how to control my behavior. I kept rhyming, but stopped acting because it didn’t cause interest anymore. I didn’t want to be a rapper, but it was just fun and I loved the attention. From 2000-2001 I started to attend school and gain stability. In the beginning of 2001 when I was considered a Sophmore in High School I carried a gun to school in my book bag. Trying to be a “Tough Guy†and impress my peers I flashed it in the back of the stair case. 10 minutes later I was behind cuffs, and arrested in the deans office. 13 hours later, thanks to god I was back home from being held in a holding cell in Central Bookends. One year later I was sentenced to 5 years probation. I was kicked out of Clinton High School and sent to Wild Cat Second Opportunity School where I spent 10 months-1 year. I then walked into Thurgood Marshall High School with my mother and spoke to the principle regarding a second chance with life. After being accepted I moved in with my father and grandmother in Harlem, and my mother went to Baltimore to live with my sister. Living with my father made it easy for me to go to school, because it was only a few blocks away and I didn’t know anyone. Getting accepted to Thurgood Marshall was the biggest turn around in my life. I meet several people from Harlem, and got comfortable with living in a new community. In 12th grade I meet my future wife Lorelle Moody, and I graduated on June 24th 2004. To this day, receiving my Diploma was the biggest accomplishment. In 2004 I realized I had a life to live, so I applied and was accepted to Morgan State University a month before school started. I study theater hoping to become a famous actor in my future.
