About Me

donniebriggs is a multi-instrumentalist whose love for music harkens back to the age of eight, a public library, and a Buddy Holly record. Several years and thousands of records later his love for all things music led him to be a very talented musician--skillful on the drums, piano, bass (electric and upright), but mainly guitar. His guitar playing will leave you crying if you're emotional, happy if you're in a good mood; and it will make you wet your pants if you have a weak bladder. donniebriggs has been seen out & about Chicagoland, and nationwide, in a multitude of bands from hillbilly's Gin Palace Jesters, indie rockers Analog Radio, to LA's fabulous Sprague Brothers. These days, donniebriggs continues in his multifarious fashion, playing and writing with The In Crowd, the New Fiction, as well as playing bass for Chris Sprague & the 18 Wheelers when he's feeling West Coasty. Outside his burning vocals, growing up as a kid, the thing that made Little Richard one of my favorites was the drumming on his records. I loved the flourishes thrown in on the off-beats, the amazing...

I received a set of DVDs in the mail a couple weeks ago and glanced through them. Finally this week, having been hit by a bout of hay fever I found it to be the perfect time to just relax, shut o...

Since I've been too lazy to buy new CDs, I've gone back through all the stuff I've had since the beginning of time to enjoy old favorites once again. Some you just never get sick of, and it's fresh th...

A couple of times I wrote stuff in regards to music on my other blog page, and it was out of place in large part due to the fact that my normal myspace blogs are just about me poking fun at every...
