Arcyn started rapping as a sixth grader, cracking jokes and trying to impress the ladies. Some of Arcyns early influences were Run DMC, LL Cool J, Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, N.W.A., Heavy D and Scarface.After several run-ins with the police, Arcyn Al ended up moving to Fresno, California in hopes of getting his life in order. He retuned to Los Angeles in 1997 to finish high school and pursue his music career. He later went on to receive an AS degree in chemistry to support his aspirations of becoming a star. Arcyn Al describes his style as being universal, controversial and sometimes melodic type flow. In the late 90s he became one half of the group Pre-Skrip-Shun, who got a two songs placed on the Kut Shop Compilation (Kut Shop Records). In 1999, Arcyn Al hooked up with the live music band The Ghost Team and preformed with them all across Los Angeles at such places as the Dragon Fly, the Gig, Martini Lounge, Luna Park, Mr. Ts bowl in Pasadena, Gold Fingers, Club Tempest, Lava Lounge in Long Beach and several private record label events. In that same year Arcyn Al also preformed on the single Why You All Up In My Shit which was later released.
In early 2000 and to 2003, Arcyn Al hooked up with the dynamic producer Uzi T (Uwop) and began writing hooks and songs for various Hip Hop and R&B artists. During the same time he became one half of the incredible group Fire Star who completed their self titled album in late 2002. They performed at such places as Club Lush in Santa Monica, Club Lingerie, The Firm, Dragon Fly, University of Irvine, Nike Celebrity All-Star pre-game show, Club Atlas, Platinum Live in North Hollywood and other well known and underground hot spots around LA and surrounding areas. He also was featured as one the premiere artist on the War Zone Records compilation entitled The Best from The West.In April 2004, Arcyn Al decided to pursue his solo career by completing a mix tape that he released on the underground circuit. Later that same year he went on to complete his first solo debut album Rain of Fire containing the scorching single Spend My Chips.
Arcyn Al is definitely one of the most well-rounded, versatile MCs of his time. He will go down in history as one of the best to ever do it hands down.
