I am really into volunteering/community activism. I'm interested in my neighborhood and serve on the homeowner's board. I currently serve as Treasurer. I am interested in promoting a community environment where people feel safe and included.I am also interested in animals and the prevention of cruelty to them. I believe in educating people about the proper and humane treatment of them. Additionally, I fully support punishing people to the fullest extent of the law possible if they choose to neglect or abuse an animal. It is also my opinion that animal fighting as a sport is despicable and participants, whether observer or organizer, should be charged with a felony. In a nutshell, I'm outgoing and assertive, compassionate and kind (most of the time). I believe part of God's plan for my life is to use these assets to make a positive impact on the world around me.
Pretty much everyone: people I knew in another life, also known as my childhood; people I've never met; people I know currently; and social workers or people who are into social justice, community activism, and standing up for others even if it goes against the "norm" (whatever normal is). Oh, and I'd also like to meet Jesus someday.
I listen to anything and everything. I enjoy everything from some classical to Christian to hip-hop and rap.
I LOVE Sweet Home Alabama, Valley Girl, A Few Good Men, Mona Lisa Smile, The Holiday, some corny 80s movies, and pretty much most chick flicks.
I do enjoy good ole Dr. Phil and DVR his shows everyday. I also enjoy One Tree Hill, Lifetime, TLC, and HGTV. I occasionally watch the cooking channel as well.
I mostly stick to Christian fiction including mystery/thriller and romance. I prefer Christian books because they are wholesome and without unnecessary profanity, violence, and sexual inuendo. My favorite authors include Karen Kingsbury, Lori Wick and Dee Henderson.
Jesus, my clients, Mother Teresa, people who remain strong in the face of adversity, my Grandpa Haley, and too many others to name.
