..The Generation is a college/singles ministry that meets at 7:30pm Thursday nights in the Multi-purpose building at Gardendale's First Baptist Church. Our vision is to be a ministry of individuals who will wake up every morning realizing that we have a responsibility to love people. When we enter into our daily activities, we will leave our homes with the purpose and mindset of enhancing the world around us by exposing people to the beauty and the passion of Jesus Christ. Our desire is to prayerfully dialog with a culture that is resistant to the church because they feel it is an unsafe place. Our focus is to love people not only like ourselves, but those from all social backgrounds. We hope to equip individuals to live out the greatest commandments, love God above all and love others as ourselves, creating a community and fellowship among college students and singles, as well as a generation of culturally relevant missionaries. Our aspiration is to become a gathering of diverse faces, but unified hearts.
