SHAI HULUD AT THE HIGH GROUND--NEW ORLEANS
Kid at heart. Band director/piano teacher at a private school. Private lessons instructor. Adjudicator for TMEA All-Region/Area band competitions and for solo and ensemble contests. Piano accompanist. Student. Ex-sales associate for H&H Music. Ex-DJ for KTSW 89.9 FM, "the other side of radio". Former T-shirt model (LOL).

I AM A MUSICIAN.

My main instruments are flute and piano . I am working on a master's degree in flute performance. Should be completed within a year. I started playing piano at age 5 and have never stopped. I taught myself until college. I am classically trained, but lately have been venturing out trying to write my own music.

I've also worked with Bangladesh , the heaviest band to ever come out of Austin! They'll make your heart bleed!!! Check them out, add them as a friend, and catch them on tour! You can pick up their merch here !

I'm one of the founding members of the San Antonio flute choir . We've had several performances, and I look forward to many more with that group.

Some things I have done: FLUTE-- click here then on "Unsuppressed Harmonics I" -woodwind quintet, orchestra, marching band, wind ensemble, symphonic band, flute choir, musicals, opera workshop, mariachi band, salsa band. PIANO-jazz band, acccompanist for vocalists. I've played both flute and piano for several weddings. I've even played in a steel drum band. I have had the pleasure of meeting my idols--Jean-Pierre Rampal, Jim Walker, Rhonda Larson, and Paul Edmund-Davies, flutists. My latest love is the BASS GUITAR. It is difficult with small hands, but I play it all the time.

Well, that's enough about me. I want to meet YOU!

My Interests

MUSIC, MUSIC, MUSIC, and did I mention, MUSIC??!!! Performing, teaching, promoting bands, listening to, attending live shows, musicals, symphony, etc. I also really enjoy photographing bands.

I collect Volkswagen toys, and I collect Qees.

I'd like to meet:

Any punk/hardcore/metal bands that are touring and need a place to crash, and cool people in the San Antonio/Austin area to hang out at shows or go for coffee.

In dreamland, Christian Bale--my all-time favorite actor.
