My family, Music, Driving, Reading, and anything else even momentarily entertaining.
ANYONE COOL, REALLY.
My band THE MAN-EATERS OF TSAVO plays rock/black metal/blues, and has had the honor of opening for Deep Purple, Jucifer, and others. My band Bleedbox played progressive instrumental metal, but is probably a thing of the past. I listen to Dream Theater, Slayer, Carcass, Shadow Gallery, Vehemence, Weezer, Pixies, Violent Femmes, Napalm Death, Sexto Sol, Fin Del Mar, Blackholicus, Full Stride, Those Peabodys, Arch Enemy, Dismal Euphony, Myriads, Cradle of Filth, Borknagor, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, King's X, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Sleep, Annihilation Time, Kovenant, UFO, Nashville Pussy, Nebula, Death (One of my favorites), Malmsteen, Bach, Berlioz, The Crown, Ministry, Theatre of Tragedy, Watchtower, Judas Priest, Sonic Youth, Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen, Jeff Beck, Deep Purple, Chingon, Run DMC, Beastie Boys, Trance because of my wife and Musical Starstreams, and all kinds of other stuff I've forgotten to mention.
Excalibur, Dune, the Mad Max Trilogy, Arcade, Equinox, Roadracers, The Dead Poets' Society, little known movies I think are killer.
Every type of Star Trek out there, the Discovery and National Geographic Channels, including but not limited to: Man vs. Wild, Mythbusters, Survivorman, and anything Bob Ballard has ever done.
Come see our library sometime. It's nice. Lately I've been reading a lot of Dean Koontz. It's book crack. Also, I've really gotten into Patrick O'Brian recently, the author of the Aubrey/Maturin novels about the early 19th century English Navy. Marion Zimmer Bradley's one of my favorites, too.
Everybody in Dream Theater, especially Jordan Rudess, Marion Zimmer Bradley, whatever dude created the imdb, innovative people, most of the professors I've had at college, my parents (of course) and each of my dumb friends for their own unique heroic characteristics.
