About Me

Greetings fine friends! Thank you for visiting this little site! In case you were wondering, I am from the city of wind...(Chicagoland, Chi-town, the Chicagoland area- Okay...CHICAGO)!!! I came out to the LBC following a 4.5 year stint of psychology and fun at Indiana University, Bloomington. The .5 was definitely by choice, because college was just too fun to leave - no kidding! I am the youngest of 8 kids, by 12 years headed by my mom, an amazing organist and teacher, and my dad - not only a former judge, but one of the few remaining POWs of WWII (see chinamarines.com and look for Harry Rodenburg). Amazing folks, both of them. So, my mom helped me move out here- to Southern California in 1998 in a broken down Ryder truck to pursue, and finally achieve, my Masters in Social Work. I have been in Long Beach since, and no - I don't know Snoop Dog. Myself, I have become an avid songwriter, often performinig at coffehouses, nightclubs, and friends' homes. I love listening to and going to see live music (i.e. Gillian Welch, John Prine, Gram Parsons, Emmylou Harris, Grateful Dead, Phish, bluegrass, and the list goes on..) I love the introspect and spirituality that comes with creativity and writing and try to integrate that into my life. Too little time, too much to say! Thank you for being my friends! (No, I don't watch the Golden Girls!)
