..A household name to many struggling urban inner city beings is the overpopulated, homeless, struggling for food, trying to survive, striving to stay alive roach. The difference between the insect roach and the artist RoAch is the approach on how they will manage to make it, survive. RoAch is an artist who represents what he has come from and what he has lived, presenting to many who have lived a life similar to his that they too can make it out.Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY in 1983, his constant moving around never gave him a chance to label a place "his home". Until... he moved to the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn, where his rapping hobby transformed into his passion. At 14 years old, Roach was a timid adolescent who felt his way with words wasn't as good as his peers, due to him being placed in special education class in elementary school. Young Roach turned to rap to express himself with out any interruptions, any opinions, saying what he wanted , how he wanted. Never writing his rhymes down just keeping them all in his mind.Roach is a rapper who speaks what he lives, what he see's...a storyteller of the hood. Not one to speak of things he has not been through. A narrarator of the trials and tribulations of the Ghetto lifetstyle.
