The one thing we can never have too much of is time. Once Harry Belafonte was asked why he did not sing and dance like he did before. He answer the reporter this way. "My dear sweet lady, it is not that I dislike those things any more. My time is so short, every minute I spend with my family is more valuable to me than any chorus line. Even now I'm afraid I will not have the time to see and hear my grand babies dance and sing."______________________________________________________ _____Born the Second Son of a Sharecropper in South Georgia, I have known hard times and good times. The good times are God's way of breaking up the hard times into pieces small enough for us to manage them. Life is neither good nor bad, it is continuous from the time we are born until the day we die. When you take the time to help someone, asking for nothing in return but a smile, you will be rewarded ten folds in happiness. If you can not share this happiness with someone, then you have missed the point of living. What we do between birth and death will be the only things that count. ___________________________________________________________ Three days before Christmas in a crowded hallway in the hospital. My Daddy was filling out the paper work in the office. They mostly want to know how he was going to pay the bill. When the nurse came to check on mama and asked how she was feeling. Mama said "The labor pains were not as hard. I think the baby has come already. The nurse replied, "Its not time, the doctor will be here soon.""No!" Mama said "I have had the baby look under the sheet".When the nurse raised the sheet there I lay , there i was sleeping picefully, just waiting for my first bath and a warn meal. _________________________________________________________On Christmas day we went to the Old Mill House my grand ma's place. I was welcomed to a family whose roots going back to the hill country of North Carolina and flat land to the East know as Sewanee River Basin. These would be the people who would love and glide me thought out my life. Though my family did not have a lot money but had something much more valuable faith, hope, love, and charity. The things that man can carry with him all the days of his life._______________________________________________________ _Where I have been At fiftyseven years now I have worked for more than forty years. I Have picked cotton, croping tabacco in the fields of south Georgia at thirteen. After have two wifes and three children, divoreing the first wife and the second one dieing after 24 years merriage. My children are grown and have families of there own now. I work everyday that I can if I'm not sick and will contiune to do so. I have learn a long time back I will have to work until I am to old too.________________________________________________________ ___The weekends_______________________________________________Frida y evenings are for eat out, taking in a movie, or just wonda around in the stores, looking for that one thing you just can live with out. Saturday morning is for sleeping late, work in the garden. Saturday afternoon is for cookouts with friends and family. Saturday nights is for danceing at the VFW in Nashville, log cabin, buckie's, or Maria's in Valdosda where country music is played by a local bands. Sunday's is the Lord's day so I do what I can to keep it that way and you should too.________________________________________________________ ___Places I like to eat at are Old times, Boglow, China garden,Kfc, and Bergar King's______________________________________________________ _____Places for entertaining Besides the rides. The local thime park has big name country star's to see and listin to._________________________________________________________ __Places to go But every once in a blue moon I just fill up the truck, throw some closthes in a bag, pick up my honey, and we drive for a time and stop and see what there is to see. It does not matter north, south, east or west there is something there to be seen. Then we drive back home the next day.________________________________________________________ ___
