Longtime friends, Leroy Johnson, III (Copesetic), Hiram McQueen (Hydro) and Lafayette Gaddis (Mister Sippi Slim) were raised together in Gulfport, MS. Each of them is ready to be added to the list of great musicians spearheading the contemporary examples of hip-hop today. Eager to break the stereotypical image of Mississippi Muddy Sipp Boyz speak the truth through their crunk but conceptual reality music.
Muddy Sipp Boyz have opened for artists such as David Banner, and they also opened for The Showdown Tour in November 2003 at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum, featuring T.I., Youngblood, Lil Boosie and Soldier Slim. They have a long history of sticking together and have always maintained a strong bond and sense of loyalty to the group. Even through the frustrations of pursuing other careers and the separation of college. Muddy Sipp Boyz made their underground mark on the music scene in 1996 under the name MVP's. After producing several mixtapes, Muddy Sipp Boyz dropped their first complete album "Thug Pimp'n" on the underground scene in 2003.
Though the sale of the album was from the trunk of their car it was still distributed throughout the South, (8,758 units) and was often requested on local radio stations. Although hitting the rap scene several years ago, Muddy Sipp Boyz may very well be the best-kept secret in Southern Mississippi.
