Where to even begin...I'm not from this area, but moved here for the job. I'm originally from Cincinnati, moved around some after college and came here in late 03. Southern Pines is a cool enough town, small and quaint, is how my parents describe it. I work for a non-profit conservation organization and manage the lands that we have in the area. I mostly do forestry and wildland fire management. So either I'm thinning forests, planting trees, or conducting prescribed fires to make habitat better for wildlife. I usually take a month or so to go West on wildfire assignments, which is my true passion. It's pretty awesome to hike up a mountain or take a helicopter ride to put out a new lightning strike fire, work all day and night, and then sleep out under the stars.My friends would say I'm a fun guy, pretty mellow, funny, smart, witty, genuine, honest and an all-around good guy. I try to laugh and smile all the time, I get a lot of chesire cat comments...ha ha. I can be witty and sarcastic, sometimes too much...sorry if I hurt your feelings. I have a good group of close friends who I can rely on all the time. I guess since I move around, its tough making friends and I seem to hav more acquaintences than anything else.You might see me around at O'Donnell's, Wine on Wednesday's, or hiking at Weymouth Woods.
