After playing bass in several Hardcore and Grindcore formations in the early 90s he founds the 3 pieces abstract industrial band called KOMPRIMIERT (www.myspace.com/kromprimiert). Since that time he experiments in electronic music. There is no clear style definition for his abstract/extreme work he never keeps the same profile in his ongoing searching and experimentation… ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------ 2004 ------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------------------------------- In the context of readings from science fiction fanzine UHURA and the novel DER BARON VON CALDIFF he collaborates with avant-garde guitarist Mauro Franceschi in extemporized live performance and produces a limited edition compact disc (50 pieces) THE CALDIFFIAN REMIXES, a mixture of traditional south tyrolean music and harsh noisy electronica. The same year he composes the intro on GODZILLA INTERMEZZO’s 7inch. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------- 2005 ------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------------------------- Kompripiotr performs in collaboration/together with Steve Piccolo (THE LOUNGE LIZARDS) and Gak Sato within the collective sound project SOUND FETISH at the BIENNALE DI VENEZIA. He composes the soundtrack for QUERDENKER-INNEN, a movie produced by the student organisation sh.asus. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ --------------- 2006 ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------- He performs life-electronics in the context of the [oder: while/during] author’s reading TABU/TEXTE at PAPERLAPAPP, Bolzano ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ -------------2007 ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------- April: in collaboration with Emmanuele Zottino and Andrea Beggio (www.controfase.it) Kompripiotr performs in live-electronic improvisation together with the STABILE ICE ORCHESTRA and Tim Linhart, artist and ice sculptor in Linhart’s Ice Dome built on 3.200 m of altitude. March: Kompripiotr provides the soundtrack for the open-air performance KLANGGARTEN. EINE RILKE-HOMMAGE by ARTbrothers kraxentrouga (www.kraxentrouga.it). August: Kompripiotr founds a side-project with THE COWBOY WITHOUT A HORSE (www.myspace.com/thecowboywithoutahorse) called KNRRZ. KNRRZ records sounds that surrounds them and make music with the natural sound in real time, sometimes distorted sometimes kept clean. September: for biographical DVD PASSIONE PER IL LIMITE by Reinhold Messner he made part of the musical parts. October: together with the jazz saxophonist Paul Dibiasi he made the soundtrack for the performance TIGRE DEL TEMPO, directed by the artist SAKUL (Lukas Zanotti) during TIMECODE initiative in Bolzano. December: at the ALPKLANG 2007 FESTIVAL he performed in MARENDN with a formation of KOMPRIMIERT and THECOWBOYWITHOUTAHORSE (for more information: www.myspace.com/komprimiert). ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------------------- 2008 ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ - January: together with jazz saxophonist Paul Dibiasi Kompripiotr did the music as a part of the performance LA FAVOLA DELL’ARTISTA by Lukas Zanotti at ARGE-KUNST-Gallery, Bolzano. March: Kompripiotr presents his sound construction on the performance SEDUTE SPIRITISTICHE by Lukas Zanotti at GOETHE 2 GALLERY, Bolzano. May: KNRRZ perform in several real-time improvisation shows with ANNIKA (accordion, transverse flute). June: He remixes the track CANTO NOTTURNO by CONTROFASE (www.controfase.it). July: Within the context of MANIFESTA 7 parallel events Kompripiotr provides the soundtrack for the performance RESPIRA by Daniela Chinellato, Goethe 2 Galley, Bolzano.
