Moor Monsta gka Chris M. was born Febuary 10, 1986 at Highland Hospital Rochester NY... He was raised on the Westside of the ROC by Cheryl Yolanda who is a vocalist/musician in the Rochester Area. Chris earned the notorious title of "Monster" at age 8 for his inspirational talent on the football field as a Southwest Colt football player during popwarner. He was always active in his community participateing in Sports... Basketball, Football, Boxing ext... Monsta could be described as a multi-talented individual as a young age.... excelling in any activities he was ever involved in...... Chris grew up in a city cultivated by Hip Hop culture....... In his earlier years he often spent time building in ciphers with the Gods.... 7OD kicking an occasional freestyle. He was raised on Genesee St. but rested his head on Thurston All TWAY!!!!!!!!. since he was 7. Always remaining active in his hood with sports kept him out of the Beng where many of his counterparts would end up during adolesences.... Drugs, Guns and Funds was a normal part of most of the youths life in the ROC with Rochester NY being the murder capital of NY . Monsta undastood that his academic skills and streets smarts would have to accomodate his situation in the Hood. Monsta was always encouraged to freestyle by others in the hood for his prolific material that would create eye raisers from stand by spectators. Monsta had a passion and a love for rapping way before recording. At age 12 Monsta and Sean Ace ( producer/rapper) starting writing and recording with KoKo Kilpatrick(Ceo/A&R/producer) who inspired the 2 to take their talents seriously..... Basketball N Football often interuppted Monstas focus on music but he always kept writing and recording on the low not releasing any mixtapes until the time was right to let the streets know that Hip Hop is under attack and Monsta in here to ressurect it. Monsta has witnessed his friends fall victim to Project Impact and Murders.... His mother always encouraged him to attend a University to recieve a Higher Education..... Monsta applied to Hampton University in 2003 after visiting the school in VA.... He was determined to get out of the ROC for a minute to do his education thing knowing he wouldnt be able to focus on school while in the ROC. The past 7 years of Lives Lost, Snitching and Project Impact has negatively effected Monsta leaving him searching for a solution in his City that has been viewed as the grimie n gritty of UPSTATE NY.... The Negativity has inspired him to stay focused on Hip Hop and to keep recording He linked up with the Group Jump Out in 03 with TO, AUB, M Dot.... he also worked with D Flamez (producer/artist/CEO) with RapSumthin/Evil Ent to continue powerful music in the ROC... Monsta dropped his debut mixtape Monsta INK vol 1 hosted by SpitSumthin Productions linking up with Volatile (producer/artist/CEO) to expand a powerful Hip Hop movement thru ROC City.... He is currently working on a collab mixtape with his longtime counterpart RaBlo from the Ravenhood Fam... presents Backwoods N Dutches part 1 due out Early Summer .... He is also working on his next solo mixtape Thurston Teflon Kevlar Theory Vol. 1 under his new alias Moor Monsta....
