Established in 2004 (Official start February 2007) Anothercompany is operating in art, fashion and communication.
Joachim Baan began his career 8 years ago as a graphic designer. At the same time, he started photographing from a need to develop images for his designs that are rooted in a social context. Over the last four years, Baan has been traveling extensively, from Amsterdam to Istanbul, from Cape Town to Botswana, taking photographs that show Baan’s personal interpretation of experiences, of intimate ways of looking at his surroundings. Not only do his photographs help us to appreciate the ordinary, daily things in life, his use of empathy and his individual standpoint captures the sometimes breathtaking silence of today’s cities.
