About Me
Born and raised in the projects of Harlem New York, Omar quickly learned two things; how to run real fast and that he had a knack for making people laugh. Raised by his mother in a single parent household, Omar used his charm and humor to laugh and joke his way out of many butt whippings (most of the time).Excelling in basketball, Omar's skills on the court earned him a basketball scholarship and an opportunity for him to leave the projects and go to college where he quickly became the funny man on campus. Soon he went on to host his college's talent nights and many other school functions. He became the opener for every comedian that traveled to his school. Omar soon left his college basketball team to pursue his dreams of being a comedian. After receiving his bachelor's degree he went back to New York to pursue his dreams.While in New York Omar attacked the comedy circuit, performing two to three times a day. Performing at such popular clubs as: Caroline's, Standup NY, The Improv, NY Comedy Club and many others. Not to forget many churches, bars, restaurants, colleges and the Apollo.Omar generated quite a buzz among his peers and within the industry, being recognized as one New York's hottest new comedians. Omar is a fearless and versatile performer who has the ability to perform in front of any crowd. Omar's brand of high-energy antics and colorful characters will have you laughing out of your seat. Omar was a guest comedian in the NYC Underground Comedy Festival and the Laffapalooza Comedy Festival. He has also appeared on MTV2s ,Wonder Showzen, and the film "Killa Season". Alongside his acting, Omar writes his own material as well as material for other comedians. With his great work ethnic Omar is and will steadily climb his way up the standup comedy ranks.
