About Me

I moved to Westcliffe, Colorado from New Sharon, Iowa to be a youth pastor at Valley Bible Fellowship. I am also a stucco-slinger during the summer and a framer during the winters. I am thoroughly enjoying it here! I do miss family and friends back in Iowa! I got married on July 7, 2007 to an amazing woman! She's made me the happiest man ever and I love her deeply and inexpressibly! It brings me joy to see her love for God and her desire to have Him as the foundation of our relationship! I started a band that includes 3 of my youth and Stephanie. We are called As In Reason and have started playing a few gigs in Pueblo, Canyon City, and Denver. It doesn't seem to happen that way as often as I would like it to. I want to be continually transformed into the likeness of my Savior and Friend, Jesus Christ. To know Him more everyday, and to be led by His Spirit. I want others to come to know Him personally and intimately and I want every part of my life to ultimately bring Him glory.

My Interests

Christian life, Stephanie (my favorite girl in the whole world!), friends/family, people's lives, playing, writing, and listening to music, being in creation, camping, riding my bicycle, snowboarding, riding 4-wheelers, and playing sports, just to name a few.

I'd like to meet:

You if I haven't already! I love meeting new people! Relationships are very important to me. I can't really think of any specific person I really want to meet. I already have the best friends ever...and the best wife ever, but I'm up for meeting anyone.

Music:

I like a lot of genres of music. I only listen to Christian (if it's my choice). Lyrics are more important to me than the music itself. Some of my current favorites are Leeland, Red, Skillet, Nevertheless, The Classic Crime, Falling Up, Further Seems Forever, Everyday Sunday, Seventh Day Slumber, Blindside, Anberlin, Strange Celebrity, Kutless, Casting Crowns, Mercy Me, and many more. Movies:

I watch more movies now that my fiancee is here with me! I like all kinds from Action to Comedy to Disney, and yes, even a few chick flicks every now and then(kinda picky about those though). Don't like the scary, evil, horror, cut'em up ones. Comedy is probably my favorite. If I wouldn't feel comfortable watching it with Jesus I probably won't watch it.

Television:

Haven't watched it for months. Don't have time/have better things to be doing/not much good on there.
