I'm interested in A LOT of things. I'm a humanitarian at heart so anything that affects the individual and takes on a compounding impact on them will get my attention. I love children especially the privellegs I've been given to work with autistic kids. Would love to visit Africa one day...why? I don't really know, I guess to see the beautiful people and their country.
Mary Higgins Clark - because she's my favourite author (Crime Fiction, that is). Dr. Phil : because he's got the right kind of advice and wisdom that EVERY girl needs to hear once in awhile. Janet Jackson cos she is intelligent, very sexual and goregous - just what I want to be when I'm 40!!! Oh and of course - I can't wait for the world meet my beautiful children ( all boys hopefully), cos I will teach them to treat all women with the deepest love and uttermost respect.....
Anything...oh, except for that heavy metal junk. My favourite song to listen to every morning is 'You're a Superstar' by Love Inc - listen to this song on Monday morning, and it'll give you enough energy to see you through the week.
Adore the "Lion King", Arlington Road ( how brilliant is this movie?), The Lord of the Rings trilogy, A Walk to Remember ( I know everyone thinks it sucks..but love stories will live on forever!), anything with Gwyneth Paltrow (she represents ultimate femininity) and of course - Beaches
SBS documentaries ,Malcolm In the Middle, McLeods Daughters and Home & Away, Felicity and Ally McBeal (wish they'd bring her back)
I grew up having an obsession with reading all the Babysitters Club books - i think ordered every single one through school bookclub. Just couldn't get enough of them. These days I'm totally into anything crime-fiction: I LOVE Mary Higgins Clark and Joy Fielding!!! Will read anything by John Grisham too. Also LOVE Maeve Binchy - she's doesn't shy away from true human emotion. "the Color Purple" by Alice Walker is an all time favourite of mine. But right now, I'm into Eastern authors - 'Waiting' by Ha Jin is absolutely brilliant, as is "Magpie Bridge" by Lui Hong. Oh, and I own/have read a few of those books - u know the ones they put in the stands at your local newsagency: the author wil be someone you've never heard anyone say before, but they turn out to be quite good novelists; eg. Julia Hamiltion's "Other People's Rules" - now, that book is brilliant!!!
the good people who are in my life
