Mitch credits his career acheivements to those who inspired him in radio, long-time friends like WRVQ's Kirby Carmichael, whom Mitch considers to be Richmond's all-time greatest on-air personality. Roger Williams, an ABC-TV technician and former radio personality on Richmond's WENZ- AM 1410, a neighbor and close friend who first sparked his interest in radio. Others who were big influences include former WANT-AM 990 Mid-day personality "Chocolate Chip" and Rev. Frank Aikens, who helped me understand the business at WSSV-AM 1240.
