LET'S FUCKING JAM! Any day I got a spare hour I wanna to learn from other people. So hit me up anytime!
I was born and raised here in Yakima. Unfortunately, I'll probably die here too. I started playing guitar when I was 10 years old.(It's not like pussy and beer are a priority when you're 10, so what else was I gonna do?) I basically jammed to my favorite albums for a good 6 years before I was in a band. When I first got going I would jam to almost anything in the "rock" catagory. Punk, Grunge, Simple ass buttrock riffs from the 70's...lol(I think alot of people start that way anyways... and fuck you if you can't play livin after midnight! :) Once I could actually play and tune, Pantera became the template for me. (and still is, incase ya didn't know.) Eventually, I ended up in my first band - Downsize.
I played literally hundreds of shows in Downsize. I got into that in sophmore year in high school I think (maybe junior, who really gives a shit?)
I remeber joining on a thursday and in 2 days the band was playing a battle of the bands w/ only 2 songs. So we wrote a song friday night and jammed it the next day. We kinda had a habit of that, so needless to say the first couple of years were definately a learning curve. ( lucky for us no one was there anyways haha.) With Downsize it took some time but eventually (basically towards the end) We were playing almost every weekend and usually 2 or 3 times a week somewhere. It was definately paying "dues" but I got a million stories and seen countless dive bars in the northwest. (where I frequent regularly.)
Currently I play in Chokeout.(myspace/chokeoutarmy) We put out our 2nd cd in Feb and have been gigging and jamming like mad. It's nice to have the thing out so I can kick back and work on my own things. I've been jamming to some drumtracks I cut up and it sounds killer! also, I like to geek out on PS3 and xbox. So hit me up and lets battle.
