About Me

The setting, I think, was a small fishing village in Northern Appalacia at a time when cocaine was the new marijuana, and marijuana was the new Marlboro. Pant-legs noticably waned toward the ankles; restricting blood flow to the feet, causing millions of Americans to drive behemoth automobiles and thereby, forcing them into cheap labor just to pay for gasoline. And in these automobiles young couples made love, no, had sex with each other - Budweiser flowing in their veins, but only vapors of love in their hearts. It was a time for oppression - white, middle-class America style. And a woman says to her father, "I have a baby in my belly, what should I do?" "Huh, well, have it or don't - simple", he said with such nonchalance that her eyes began to tear. She thought to herself for a moment, and let only one tear fall onto her cheek, and from then on there would be a devotion to her growing baby boy. Some time passes, like it does, in this strange and convoluted saga of our hero in this story, a boy becoming a man, and in the grand scheme of things mere fractions of a century have gone by. Through his eyes, however, he sees the statue that is his life has been designed and drafted out with meticulous architecture tools, but the marble is only now being quarried. Ah, what a snappy metaphor for a coming of age adventure. And that's the handle, I think, will this young man of twenty-something see it as such - an adventure? Stay tuned to find out more....
