Cecillia “Ce Ce†Morris is a transplant from Miami, Florida who has resided in Albany Georgia for the last 20 years. It was in Miami where she got her start in radio, at the age of 15, after a local disc jockey, visiting her school that day, overheard her giving the school announcements. She took a part-time job after school working at WMBM AM radio. But she decided to continue her education, uncertain at that time about a specific industry. She graduated from high school and went on to college in Miami, Florida and Grand Rapids, Michigan. Upon moving from Michigan, she returned home to Miami.
In South Florida, she became a successful woman in entrepreneurship from Real Estate to Credit and Tutorial Services. And she progressed well, receiving many accolades for her accomplishments. She later decided to move her family to Albany, Georgia, where she, again, continued successful entrepreneurship – this time – in the culinary industry. As a result of doing a live commercial during a broadcast for her restaurant, the general manager of the radio station heard her voice and asked her to work for him. Sound familiar? She agreed. She did well in radio from management, to sales, to promotions, and somehow always remained in programming. That was 20 years ago. Today, she can be heard V 101.7 FM in Albany, Georgia and on the internet of WQVE FM Albany, Georgia:
