Dreams and dedication are a powerful combination Days spent on the ice, crazy parties missed, weekend hang outs blown. Hours of hard work, tons of sweat, never ending plane rides, and late night bus trips. Not getting the girl because you didn’t have enough time to spend with her. Being on the road for your birthday, leaving the day after Christmas for some tournament. Missing school vacations and summer break to try out for teams or moving to a different state just because the teams are better. Tears, blood shed, broken bones, and snapped twigs. Trying to explain your game to your friends at school who have no idea what you’re talking about. Even losing friends because you have practice the day of their birthday. At times wanting to give it all up but would I change any of it? No way. Why? because there’s no better feeling in the world than when you come back to the bench and your family, not your parents or 2 brothers but your 20 brothers are there to congratulate you after a big hit, goal or sick dish.
