On Demand are a punk rock band from the surrounding villages of Cambridge, UK. Their style is based on the fast, melodic punk of the mid-to-late 1990's much like bands such as Strungout, Bigwig, A Wilhelm Scream and Much The Same
The band began in 2005 under the name Downside and changed to On Demand in 2006 after a chance in line-up, and slight change in genre and influences. They released a demo titled Red Light on Records of Shame in 2007 and hope to start production on their first official studio album titled Take Whats Yours in early 2008.
Lead singer and guitarist Adam Ball and Drummer Josh Ward started playing songs together with various people and band names beginning in 2005. When Adam decided to settle on fixed line-up he recruited Joshs school friend and bassist, Luke Nichols, to learn and records songs, and he joined immediately afterward. This marked the official beginning of the band's career.
Soon afterward, Luke left after having several opposing opinions with the other members, and Forum0Four Bassist Alex Spencer took his place. This lineup went on to play their first appearance at a local battle of the bands to place second. Jack Scotney later joined as a second guitarist in September, 2006, only to leave six months later, but not before recording the band's first Demo, the Red Light EP. In December 2007 the new lineup began writting for a full-length demo which is to hopefully go into production in early 2008.
