in the late nineties the band "cletho" toured the country. the ideas that defined that band is somewhat the same as those that form "luftgevar". treat your second instrument the way you want to treat your first but cannot because of too many years of practice.
with members sprung from different types of music the sound of "luftgevar" naturally evolved into a special mixture but always with the aspiration to form something, harder and with malcolm murdoch singing, "luftgevar" found a way of expressing themself with confidence.
the story began at albysjön during a hot summerday. the later bandmembers all felt that something was missing in their musical life. as the plans were made firm, a few weeks passed by and a studiosession were setup. from those songs the recordlabel "rotorfonogram" found an interest and later that year the ep "luftgevar" was released. all pink. all sold out.
luftgevar stand with one foot in a tradition of experimental rock and one foot in a minimalistic bladerunner kind of rock or as one critic said it´s amazing how much there is in luftgevar that doesn´t meet the ear!
