About Me

Layout by CoolChaser I am also a Leukemia survivor of 7 years and am glad to have gotten the 2nd chance at life ( actually 3rd chance but that's another story). I am single. My sister, Kris, and I own our home which we share with our 2 dachshund mix , rescue doggies, Maggie and Lucy. I went back to college after my cancer treatment, and majored in Photography and graphic arts. I received my 2nd degree in May 07 and I'm planning on getting into Portrait Photography. But,I have been through enough in my life to know that what you want and what you get are often two completely different things. So I guess I will end up wherever this road of life takes me. I learned a lot after facing Cancer and I now look at life a whole lot differently. I don't take anyone or anything for granted because tomorrow it could all be gone. I am also a huge animal lover and I'm an active volunteer with Happy Tails K9 and Feline Rescue.
To describe myself- I am honest, and insist on it from those around me. I am a person of my word, and I don't give it if I can't follow through. I always look for the good in people, because I believe there is always some there. My family comes first, so don't ever make me chose between them and anything else. I am fiercely loyal to my friends- they are family to me too. I love warm weather, watching a baseball game ( live or on TV ), dogs, an ice cream come on a hot day, grilling outside , cider mills in the fall, photography and capturing a special moment in a photograph, cooking and baking, and computers.
