Recycle was founded in October 2001 in Beijing. The band took the "Most Popular Band" award in Kangshifu Ice Pioneer Rock Band Competition 2004, played in Midi Music Festival 2004; recorded a jingle for famous milk brand Taizinai.
The band has been featured on Music Radio, Sohu internet chat room, Time Out Beijing (January 2005 issue), chinastic.com, China Radio International Easy FM, X Music Magazine (May 2006 issue).
Vocals/bass: Wang Yan
Born in a military family, Wang Yan was fed up with a tedious life limited by all kinds of rules. He started listening to rock music as early as elementary school and dreamed of starting his own band.
Vocals/guitar: Guo Feng
After an overnight conversation with the other two members, Guo Feng decided he had to join this "Recycle" circle. He brought new ideas to the band, and led it to become one of the pioneer pop punk bands in China.
Drums: Liu Zhong
Formerly a part-time worker at KFC, he loathed the job so much that he found himself devoting all his time into putting the band together just one year later. A very diligent guy known for his outstanding drumming skills.
