..Connmenn the group has a long history to it. It was orignally founded by two brothers out of New Orleans (Corey and Shaun Mc Dowell) in 1996. After studing and maturing in the south, the two brothers ventured off to connecticut to look for a change of life. The music idea was always there, and with the location of connecticut the possibilty of succeeding in the industry was there also. After structuring themselves, and establishing a good fondation in music, they ran into numerous un-signed talents such as: K-Starr, Rythm, Blue Steel and The Black Ninja. After discussing their music goals, they had succussfully formed a group by the name of C.O.N.N. Calaboration Of Northern Nights. The explination of the the name was never put into stone but the influence and impact was all but moving. After creating a buzz in Local areas (Bridgport, Norwalk and Stamford) they traveled to New York and began exploration in the business side of the the industry. With such places as Pace University, and numerous local talent shows they honed their skills as a group and began thoughts into creating mixtapes and actual albums. In 1999 the music was still being acomplished but the drive was diminshing. With the combination of work, family life and hardships the group seperated. It wasn't til 2001 that the group reformed and took another chance at the music industry. This time they brought along former members Rythm and K-Starr, new young singing artist Harry B and California lyricist Cali-West. With all the pieces to the puzzle finally put together the idea of suceeding was no longer a matter of when, but where and for whom they would be signed to.They completed two mixtape albums, "Building an Empire I and II, established radio play and web-based(domestic/non-domestic) fan club. Everything was going as exspected until the group ran into problems with the confrontation between band members and once again inner-family crisis. The idea of who was doing what and what roles should each person play was a determining factor in the second seperation of the group. Now with a legitimate buzz and several mixtapes finished, the group is in the process of once again obtaining their goals in the music business. They have now branched off into websites, clothing and artwork. With music still being produced, written and performed by the group, the new bands title the "CONNMENN" will be a name that many will soon learn to love and respect."We have been there done that, and now its time to move on. We aren't finished accomplishing our goal, and we don't intend to quit." Harry B. The group has many obstacle that they have faced, and many more to come. What the future holds for the group we can't say, but they will continue to make high-quality music for people to understand, respect and enjoy. You can also find music and more at our additonal sites www.betarecords.com/connmenn, www.dmusic.com/connmenn,
