Heeere comes anuther one!

About Me

"Deep down inside, I'm really very superficial."

My Interests

Movies, theater, Arthurian legends, Greek myths, Norse myths, fairy tales (the bloody kind), RPG (preferably table-top role-playing)

I'd like to meet:

Terry Pratchett and Bill Watterson. Peter Jackson, too, if they can squeeze him in.

Music:

Celtic/Gaelic, folk, among others. It's actually easier to ask me music I don't like. The list is shorter. Oh yeah, right now I'm listening to: Eva Cassidy, Bette Midler, Emmylou Harris, Dougie Mclean, Eve 6, John Denver, Cat Stevens, David Bisbal, Chemical Brothers, the Lilith Fair crowd

Movies:

Babette's Feast, the Lord of the Rings, Oro Plata Mata; I love movies. These are my top three (yes I know that LOTR is actually three movies, but the trilogy is actually one novel so I figure the reverse is also true). Oh yeah, Monty Python are GODS.

Television:

Invader Zim! Buffy, Firefly, Babylon 5

Books:

Anything written by: Terry Pratchett, Bill Watterson (Calvin and Hobbes), Anne McCaffrey. Nausicaa and the Valley of Wind (Hayao Miyazaki), The Drifters (James Michener), The Once and Future King (TH White), The Crystal Cave (Mary Stewart). These are my Arthurian Bibles. My tao: Miss Manners. And of course, what fantasy geek would not have, The Lord of the Rings, as one of his favorite books?

Heroes:

Invader Zim!

My Blog

Blessed be the Sabbath (and the other one)

I now why there are only seven days in a week... the human body can only take five days of staying up late and working, on the sixth day it collapses. The seventh day is enough to give you enough tim...

Hail to the Glory that is Me

I had an epiphany ... well sort of. A friend of mine, let's call him Jan (because that's his name), and myself have been exchanging slightly ludicrous emails about godhood --- mainly my godhood or ...

Return of the Queen

Well after avoiding this place for the last, what, year?, I'm back. True to form, I now have time to write in because I'm working 10-12 hours a day...I know I'm perverse but this is a bit much. I ...

do I know myself or what

True enough, now that I have time to write in my journal I don't. It's the "I can always do that anytime I want" syndrome. It's like the stack of books or DVDs that you haven't seen because "I can w...

It's happened

See what happens when you bitch too much? The show just collapsed in on itself. There are a lot of things but it boils down to two things, both of which we didn't have enough of: time and money. ...

thinking about my job

It's been several days...almost two weeks since I last logged in. I'm too tamad to check. I don't think I've EVER been this busy. I like it. I like feeling productive. What I hate is that I don...

Another all nighter

It's about one thirty in the morning (never mind what the journal says, it's one thirty am!) and I'm waiting for the editor to finish uploading the footage (NOT "footages"! Anyone caught using the wo...

and then there were two

My brother got married today. Now I'm not saying it's completely unexpected but it's just that I'm turning around and more and more people my age are settling down. For some reason I find it so stra...

Actors and Stalkers

My brother told me that it's high time that I write here again. It's only been what? Three days? What is a journal an everyday thing? . . . . . oh it is? Well that was embarrassing. AN...

I should be working

Instead of working on the script for the segment that's going to be shot in four hours, here I am instead online "researching" and thinking "since I'm online anyway, why don't I check my email, myspac...
