Mike Saiz A.K.A†Duce Duce “was born February 17, 1987. Mike grew up in a small town in Texas, and began his rhyming career in Junior High as a joke to make fun of other kids. A short time later, he became aware of his way with words, but a bump in the road would soon arrive sending his young rhyming career into a tail spend, and seeing life from behind bars. Mike was charged with a 3rd Degree Felony in which he would use his time reading, and would even copy the entire dictionary to better his vocabulary. By this time he paid his due to society, he was ready to put his lyrics to the test by started to work on a demo. His first demo titled "Tha Project" was recorded by his cousin Gilde, who now owns "Gilflo Productions" out of Lubbock, Texas. Together they recorded 10 tracks, and the demo was a hit among friends, aquatens, and local surrounding towns. Two weeks after graduating, Mike moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where he planned to attend school for recording arts, all the while working on his second demo. Once finished, Mike recorded his second demo at “Jaguar Studio†of Tulsa, Oklahoma. The owner of Jaguar Studio liked his music so much that he offered to sign Mike to an Independent Label "Mohawk Records." In the mean time Mike was contacted by another Labe "CPR& Music Inc,†out of El Paso, Texas. Mike’s decision to go with “CPR& Music Inc†might not have been bad if not for contract issues, as they flew Mike to Texas to begin working on his debut album "GENESIS", and his first video with the track†Fadedâ€, that aired on MUN 2 and MTV 3. Mike was also on the popular radio show "Pocos Pero Locos". Soon after the album was put together, they started promoting the album through “Telivison Promotion†out of El Paso, Texas. Mike preformed in areas such as El Paso, Lubbock, Amarillo, Dallas, Houston, Texas, Tulsa, Oklahoma in front of hundreds of people in attendance, and had the opportunity to have†Mr. Bob Coolly, The Vice President of "Anderson Distribution" out of Dallas, Texas†heard his music while in Amarillo and promised it to sell more than 500,000 units, as soon as the album was released. But as faith would have it, it would be too good to be true, due to poor management by “CPR& Music Inc.†a breach of contract would release Mike from his contract and the release of the album GENESIS and his video would not see day. At the Age of 19, Mike started his own record Label "Duces Wild Records," while attending college at the University of Eastern New Mexico, Mike style of rhyming is something that comes with verses filled with compound rhymes and a smart use of words.
