About Me

CHECK OUT http://www.holotropik.com
Experiments in Live improvised Techno since 1998. Techno is my Zen, my way of life, some would say an addiction. I love technology. A Music technologist taking mixing to new levels through the relentless search for new ways to ride the waves of energy that is the root of techno and dance music in general.
Mixing and creating dance music directly from machines (drum-machines, samplers and synth modules) delivering a crafted technique that is customized and improvised. All the sounds used are made using the machines and reflect a moment in time captured for playback in a different way each time. The genre lines are blurred due to more flexibility when playing live in this way.
Now experimenting with a similar DJing technique that allows for live remixing that delivers the same unique improvised feel to the music. Using 4-decks (Traktor) with machines layered over the top through 2 more channels. Provides for a whole new level of mixing that is considered the evolution of the art form - encompassing all formats in a creative way.
The cynosure of spirit and technology...
Peripatetic nomad.
