Minister J. Brandon Baggett, born into a family of leaders, began playing the piano at the age of eleven. His grandfather served as the first black Justice of the Peace in Henderson County in 1984 until his health failed in 1990, and his father currently serves as the President of the NAACP in Athens, TX. In 2001, he became a licensed minister of the gospel and accepted the position as full-time Minister of Music at Greater New Light Missionary Baptist Church of Waco, Inc. He is the overseer of the music and media department which consist of: the sound crew, musicians, four directors, praise and worship team, sanctuary choir, youth and young adult choir, childrens choir, womens and mens chorus and the GNL Ensemble.Shortly after, in 2003, he began fulfilling a dream with the creation of Rhema Life Productions. Since then, he has been blessed to play for such artists as Kim Burrell, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Lashaun Pace, Tamela Mann, Carolyn Traylor, Gaye Arbuckle-Sneed, Brenda Waters and Carnell Murrell. He has also had the privilege to write and play for the Anointed Voices of Worship, Sign of Jonah, and Baylor Universitys Heavenly Voices Gospel Choir. He has appeared on Life Today with James and Betty Roberson accompanying the dynamic voice, solo pop artist, Dennis McDaniel who sang the National Anthem for the Republican Party Inaugural at the Madison Square Garden in November of 2004. Also under his leadership, Greater New Lights Sanctuary Choir completed their second album release in January of 2005. he has produced 3 c.d. recordings for the Greater New Light Sanctuary Choir, Van Artis and Rob Hall which will be released in the fall of 2006.He and lovely wife, Vene Baggett, have four children: Kedrick,Keenan, Kayla and Kace. Until hearing what it is that God has for him to do next, Minister J. Brandon Baggett will continue to minister in song creating music that inspires and ushers in the presence of the Lord.
