I was born on the west coast of Sweden in 1982 in a big family of nine kids. I started playing the 5-string during my early teens thanks to my uncle Bertel. Started out my musical career with my brother Björn (on guitar) and two other brothers as the band "Street" playing on the streets of Gothenburg earning enough money for some nice lunch and fresh banjo strings. During this time, I learned the basics of the three finger Scruggs style.
In the late 90's I started playing with some different bands and in late 2005 a group of five good guys met and we formed G2, which finally feels like home to me. Did some wonderful traveling in the US during 2002, 2003 and 2004 and had the time of my life experiencing Bluegrass music at its best and got the opportunity to meet wonderful musicians and friends for life.
G2 won the EWOB (European World Of Bluegrass) contest and is now no. 1 European Bluegrass Band. G2s debut album "Where The Tall Grass Grows" was released late 2007 and this spring we're touring in England, Holland, Wales, the US, Switzerland, Sweden etc... In June 2008, I started playing a brand new Yates Ron Stewart signature banjo, mahogny. It's a really good instrument which is a joy to play. If you're interested in them, look at www.yatesbanjos.com. I love mine :)
