Dassim , was born and raised in Buffalo, NewYork. In spring of 2000 he packed up and moved away. Despite the fact that he spent half of his life in WNY he considers Ohio his true home.
He has gone by several alias names over the past few years but his voice and demenor remained the same. He was simply dubbed by a small group of fans as "Dassim" (Thats Him).
Somewhere between 2001 and 2006 Dassim. Gave up his dream as an artist and lived a quiet life in Columbus. That was until he came upon an indie rap web site HHDB (hhdb.com). He was exposed to the independent artist which have inspired him to back to work as an artist. Dassim considers himself a self expressionist and it shows in his lyrics and srtwork.
Dassim has had obsticles while working on his debut solo album that hindered his progress. With the great recession , he found himself homeless living on the streets in Atlanta. Soon those obsticles begat an innovative spirit within him.
By 2009 Dassim had witness the actual birth of his own label. Nubian Knight Entertainment. With all of his experiences he plans on going back to ohio to entertain and restore brotherhood via community service.
Dassim believes in the movement of indie music and it shows.
