How I made my profile:
I used Dave & Jay's amazing myspace profile editor . Chemina Dixon was born on the 6th of March 1987 in East London, to the couple Josephine Dixon and Nevai Nduka. Born half Nigerian half Jamaican she had musical influences from both backgrounds. Her father was a musician pursuing his own career in Roots Reggae and her mother was a shy singer who was into Lovers Rock.At the age of two she moved to Jamaica where she spent most of her childhood. At the early age of 6 her older cousins discovered a talent in her. She became the youngest person to join the Bethel Baptist Junior Choir. She was very determined, when it came to music, to do her best.At age 11 she arrived back in the UK and continued her education in secondary school where she gained the nick name CD Rhymes. In year 9 she joined her school choir and performed with them at the Royal Albert Hall. She also performed solos and duets friends at end of term assembly’s. She was well known for her talent.At age 16 she continued to pursue the dream of making it as a singer she had already started to write her own music but now she had started to work with up and coming producers from her college. She later got involved with an independent unsigned record label Courageous Sounds where she done some collaborations with different artists and some solo work. She started performing at shows like Barking and Dagenham Music Festival and the Big Sunday event. She moved on to do some work with up and coming artist like Dark Boy (from Boys in the Hood), D Dark Artiste and producer (of track My Baby) and Boast an up and coming Rapper/ MC who features on the track My Baby.She is currently attending Sheffield Hallam University where she studies Film and Media Production. She now works with BOSS The Family and is currently working on her 1st album due to is finished before the end of 2007.“I feel blessed to be in a team of people who I can honestly say I love like a family they are all hard working and they are all extremely talented. I finally feel like we are all on the move to bigger and better things we all came from the beginning as Courageous but now we stand strong and invincible as BOSS The FamBase.
