Rutia Maria is very unique, versatile, outstanding, and inspirational and she’s here to introduce. . . Hip-Rock-Soul. This is the musical journey traveled by one who listens to a mixture of Funk, Hip-hop, Rock, Classic-soul, Jazz, and R&B. It's no wonder that this unique style has been dubbed as Hip-Rock-Soul. Factor in the influences of mavericks such as Marvin Gaye, Shirley Murdock, Jimi Hendrix, and the beautiful Aaliyah, (not to mention MC Lyte, Busta Rhymes, and Mary J. Blige), and we produce the ingredients for an original sound that's all her own! From Native and African American decent Rutia Maria vows to use everything positively possible to get her message across, "Peace will prevail"! She has performed on several projects including Living the Dream, Tribes Project, and the group DEVAGODSIS out of Seattle. DEVAGODSIS was founded the year 2000 by Emy Johnston and Rutia Curry, and the third member of the group is Rashawn Noble.
