Bill hails from Los Angeles County, CA. Moving to Eastern Kentucky in the 70's, he has played professionally for over 28 years. From a young age Bill was influenced by many cultures and styles of music from Rock to Jazz, Funk and Latin to Bluegrass and everything in between. He inherited his natural ability and love for music from his father, who was a professional mandolin and guitar player. Bill was an award-winning drummer in high school, and went on to earn a non-traditional scholarship to Morehead State University in Music Performance. In 1985 he was unanimously elected class president at the Morehead State University School of Music. After college he went on to play with local greats such as Mike Murphy, Ritch Collins Three-0, Kelly Ray Davis and Moneymaker, Angie Fletcher Band, Blue Max, Paul Pace, Griffith and Cross, Wally Christian, Billy Ray and the Players, Chris Kitchen, Jeff Carter Quartet, The Nyte, 4 Play, Reflections, Southern Pride, Dennis Smith & the Hubcaps, Prizm, The Legends, Quarterhorse, TKO, Cash, the Trend, Larry Pancake, Shane Thomas, Sly Dog, Kenny Joe Johnson & Don Hanshaw, Stephen Salyers, Larry Whitt, Bud Carrol, Jessica Warren, Boyd Williams, Woods Colt, Kanyon, LA to Menphis, the Chase, Phillip Dane Powell, Morehead St. Jazz Ensemble, TMS Project, Dewain Messer, Skin Tite,Briggette Renolds, Katie Owens, Shawn Cabell, Night Shift and Cry Wolf...to name a few, and is presently the staff bassist for the Huntington Jamboree, sponsored by WDGG (The Dog) radio FM. He has shared the stage with many nationally released artists like: Billy Ray Cyrus. Confederate Railroad, Little Big Town, Ricochet, Ricky Lynn Gregg, Exile,The RoadHammers, Marshall Tucker, John Berry, Juice Newton, Brian White, Highway 101. The Blue Notes, Jefferson Starship, Bobby Bare, The Judds, John Anderson, Sarah Johns, John Rowsey, Jeff & Sherry Easter, Ed Soph, Sammy Kershaw, Chuck Berry, David Allen Coe, Billy Joe Shaver, Shenandoah, Kelly Pickler, Loretta Lynn, and George Jones, just to name a few…You will also find his musical footprints on many local TV commercial sound tracks and jingles, and numerous CD's where he has recorded both bass, percussion and back up vocal tracks. Bill is held in the highest regard for his bass, vocal, and percussion abilities by his peers and through out the musical community.
