Effete started up in the autumn 2005 as a counter-reaction to the garage rock culture that was dominating the music scene in Vaxjo.
The band is built around a concept in which both music and style are equally important.
Inspiration is found in everything, from Karl Lagerfeld to Pet Shop Boys.
